About 25 years ago, Nine PBS produced a series covering the comprehensive history of the St. Louis region. Titled Decades, the 8-episode series covers the story of St. Louis, from 1900-1980. The program covers all aspects of St. Louis’ past, like the World’s Fair, prohibition, the building of the Arch, the local civil rights movement, and more.
In 2020, the series was revisited through a new lens. Now the 8 episodes of the Decades series are available on YouTube. Watch each episode for a deep look into St. Louis’ past, and learn how it affects our future.
