Loop Trolley Update
The 2.2 mile Loop Trolley has never lived up to expectations but showed a modest increase in ridership last year. Metro has reduced its fleet of trolley cars to just two as it prepares to resume operations in April with a focus on tourism.

Electronic Recycling

Plastic Pollution
Jennifer Wendt of the Mississippi River Cities and Towns Initiative was an observer at a conference in South Korea on plastic pollution. Countries failed to agree on an international treaty, but she says she was encouraged by local efforts around the world to reduce plastic pollution.

Gabe Fleisher
The St. Louis native started writing about politics and government in grade school and now the recent college graduate’s morning newsletter has tens of thousands of subscribers.
