Murphy, the famous eagle from the World Bird Sanctuary in Valley Park, Missouri, is fostering an eaglet for the second time.

The bald eagle’s story first went viral in 2023 after he built a nest and tried to hatch a rock. Soon after trying to hatch the rock, the then 31-year-old eagle was given a foster eaglet who had fallen out of its nest.

In Spring of 2024, Murphy was given another eaglet who came to the sanctuary under similar circumstances.
