Storytime in the Commons: Celebrating Each Other

Saturday, April 12, 2025
9:30 - 11 am
Nine PBS Bayer Studio (indoors)

We can’t wait to celebrate our first Storytime in the Commons this Saturday!

Check out our Social Story "My Trip to Nine PBS".

Nine PBS and St. Louis Public Library are excited to share the morning with you as we meet a new friend—Carl the Collector! See an episode from this exciting new PBS KIDS® favorite, hear a story, and participate in crafts and activities that celebrate what makes each person special. Carl the Collector follows the everyday adventures of Carl, a warm-hearted autistic raccoon who enjoys collecting things and loves his friends and family in Fuzzytown. Learn more about Carl and his friends and watch episodes here

  • Limited free parking is available in the Nine PBS lot, accessible on Spring Ave. See more parking and direction information here.
  • Doors open at 9:30 am and our event will last from 10 – 10:45 am.
  • Guests of all ages are welcome!
  • Limited printed copies of our Social Story will be available at the event.

This event has been thoughtfully designed to offer an enjoyable experience for individuals and families of all varying abilities and sensitivities. We invite you to bring any accommodations your group may need to feel comfortable (stuffies, headphones, etc).

Please note: temperature, lighting, and noise levels fluctuate throughout our building. We will have a lending library in the room with supplies such as comfortable seating and fidget toys. Our friends at Belle Children’s Services of St. Louis Arc will be lending noise-cancelling headphones. (Supplies limited)

Activities and resources will be provided by Nine PBS, St. Louis Public Library, St. Louis Science Center, Belle Children’s Services of St. Louis Arc, Easterseals Midwest, and Variety Children’s Charity. Deaf Inc. will be providing ASL interpreting services.

Nine PBS Storytime in the Commons is a three-part series proudly sponsored by Raising Cane’s.

Free tickets are still available!
