
Storytime in the Commons
Storytime in the Commons series returns to the Public Media Commons in Grand Center! These popular events present Nine PBS KIDS content, characters, and family-friendly themes that encourage kids to build a love of learning.
Meet and take photos with your favorite PBS KIDS® characters. Hear stories read aloud as the books are shared on our big outdoor screen. Participate in fun activities for the whole family including crafts, games, and more.
The events are free, but registration is required.
PBS KIDS characters are based on availability and subject to change. Stories start at 10:00 am.

Storytime in the Commons: Nature Adventures
In June, Nine PBS and St. Louis Public Library explore the fascinating world of science and nature. The fun includes a preview of Weather Hunters, a new animated STEM series, and a special chance to meet Nature Cat and Elinor from the PBS KIDS series, Nature Cat and Elinor Wonders Why!
ASL interpretation will be available.

Storytime in the Commons: Be My Neighbor Day
At Be My Neighbor Day, kids will learn about being a caring neighbor, meet neighborhood helpers from the St. Louis Public Library and St. Louis Fire Department, and have the opportunity to get their picture taken with Daniel Tiger and Miss Elaina from the PBS KIDS series, Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood.
Be My Neighbor Day is supported by PNC Grow Up Great® with additional support from Fred Rogers Productions, the Corporation for Public Broadcasting’s Ready to Learn and The Magic House.

Storytime in the Commons: Celebrating Each Other
This Spring, join Nine PBS and St. Louis Public Library as we meet a new friend—Carl the Collector! See an excerpt from this exciting new PBS KIDS favorite, and join other PBS KIDS characters as we hear stories and participate in activities that celebrate what makes each person special. Learn more about Carl and his friends here! This event will be sensory-friendly and take place indoors. Space is limited.
This event will be sensory-friendly with consultation from our friends at Easterseals Midwest and St. Louis ARC. ASL interpreting will be available by DEAF Inc. Activities provided by Nine PBS, St. Louis Science Center, St. Louis Public Library, and others.
